Flint Groups’ Narrow Web division is currently looking for an enthusiastic Quality Manager to strengthen our team!
About the role
As a Quality Manager you will be based at our site in Trelleborg, but the Manager also needs to have a global perspective and be able to support our sister site in the US. The Quality Manager will report to the Global Manufacturing Director and the CEO for Flint Group Sweden.
The main responsibility is to ensure high product quality by securing and developing quality processes and procedures. You will also be responsible for all QC/QA operations including managing the staff at our Quality Control Department. The leader is responsible for developing the employees and ensuring collaboration with other functions in accordance to our One-Site-One-Team spirit. Your duties will include:
Responsible for developing current Quality Management System. This includes all processes and procedures for Quality Control (QC), and Quality Assurance (QA).
Responsible for fact based monitoring for quality.
Responsible for driving and coordinating the analyses of claims and complaints
Responsible for developing the Performance Management for Quality (e.g. KPIs)
Lead and develop the monthly quality meeting
Make sure that quality is one of the top priorities for the management team
Responsible for development of new test methods as well as optimization of existing methods
Support the HSE Manager in creating processes and management system to ensure full compliance to ISO9001 and ISO14001, and during internal audits
Responsible for quality control of finished goods and raw materials
Responsible for driving long term strategical quality projects, for example:
- Electronic Batch Record (EBR): Investigate proper IT solution for traceability of batches
- In Line Process Control (IPC): Investigate options for real time data monitoring of temperature,
viscosity etc.
- Raw material control: Investigate better system with dynamic quality control
- Data management: Upgrade current analysis tool for quality control
- Statistical control: Revise possibility for using control charts
Educate QC team within statistical control
Requirements
To perform this job successfully you must possess leadership skills, but it is not necessary to be a proven leader yet. You have excellent skills when it comes to collecting and analyzing data. You are also able to develop KPI: s for the team and set clear targets. The role as a Quality Manager requires an eagerness to make a big impact on the organization and that you are a person who constantly strives for improvements.
Apart from this we expect that you have:
A Master of Science in Engineering e.g. Chemistry Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of work experience from a Quality department, or other experience equivalent to this, preferably from industries known for high quality focus (e.g. Pharma, MedTech, Automotive)
Fluent in Swedish and English both verbally and in writing. Good knowledge in Microsoft Office. Experience in SAP is meritorious.
